The is a political party in Japan. It has 7 out of the 480 seats in the House of Representatives, and 3 in the 242-member House of Councillors.
It changed its name from "People's Life Party" on 27 December 2014. The name change was apparently imposed by Yamamoto Tarō as a condition for keeping the party from disbanding.〔http://www.yomiuri.co.jp/politics/20141226-OYT1T50100.html〕
==Foundation==
The party was founded by Ichiro Ozawa and 14 other diet members who were in the Tomorrow Party of Japan (TPJ), who left among conflict over party leadership between Ozawa and TPJ leader Yukiko Kada after the TPJ fared badly during the 2012 general election.
